After the concert in 2007 in Togliatti, Russia, Aleksey Vorontsov, artistic leader and chief conductor of Togliatti’s Philharmonic Orchestra, wrote
“Conductor Esther Bobrova Lange is an exponent of the Russian conducting school, which she combines with Western European music tradition. Her studies at the Conservatory in Moscow and later at St. Petersburg Conservatory in the conducting class offered by outstanding teacher and conductor Ilya Musin gave her in-depth knowledge about the specific ways to make music with an orchestra, as well as the skills to work effectively to achieve a concrete artistic goal. She holds fruitful rehearsals that produce results, not only because of her technical-manual control and insightful knowledge of a score, but also because of her creative, figurative attitude towards the content of a composition.”

After her concert in Finland with Tampere Symphony Orchestra and a male choir performing Haydn’s Symphony no.102 and Cherubini’s Requiem in D minor, the Finnish newspaper “Kansan Lehti” wrote
“Competent and fascinating guest conductor” Conductor Bobrova has excellent conducting technique – her conducting is sensitive and distinct so that even the amateur choir has a fair chance of following her easily – the result was fine on the whole – graceful and brilliant chamber music in the Haydn Symphony no. 102 – a particular pleasure was the finale with its lively and playful musical flow.
